Comedian Katt Williams was arrested and charged with theft and criminal trespass in a community in western Georgia on Sunday night after a court official.
Celebrity comedian Katt Williams was arrested and thrown in the Slammer in Georgia on charges of criminal theft and burglary. A deputy of the Coweta County Jail in the southwest to Atlanta, confirmed Williams was held there and that a judge was expected that the bond market at a hearing this afternoon.
Williams, 38, smiled broadly while standing for mugs in Coweta County, Georgia jail.Yarbrough said the Sunday night incident happened at a home in Newnan, about 38 miles southwest of Atlanta. Yarbrough said the unidentified homeowner called police around 9 p.m. to report the comedian "gained entry by breaking into the home, and items were taken from the residence."
His first court appearance set for 4 ET Monday where a judge must decide whether Williams is entitled to bond, "says Deborah Matthews, spokesman for the Coweta County Court Judge.
