New York Yankees Win World Series

New York Yankees Win World SeriesThe match between the crafty veteran pitchers Andy Pettitte and Pedro Martínez in Game 6 of the 2009 World Series was won by the left-Pettitt. He was excellent in the 7-3 victory in front of his Yankees to their first title in 9 years. After going up 3-1 in the series, fell to a Yankees Philadelphia Phillies when stud pitcher Cliff Lee was able to secure the victory and second of the Phillies in Series Game 5th.

The Phillies, on the other hand, fell short in its attempt to regain the championship. There will be no crazy party in Philadelphia on this occasion. Even after the acquisition of Cliff Lee in the period which was fatal in the stretch and Phillies won two victories in the series, was the Phillies managed to overcome a combination of the Yankees batting and throwing.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi last won a World Series in 1998, which was behind the plate catching Pettit. Now he is head of Pettit, and probably just as happy with his performance this season as it was 11 years ago. Hideki Matsui was the hero of the game with two runs in the 2nd, 2 runs in the 3rd and a 2-double in the 5th stage of a total of 6 races at night. Can not start Matsui, a designated hitter in Game 3 in Philadelphia, as a result of being in the ballpark of the National League, Giraradi was thrilled to get their stars tonight DH back in the Yankee line of the great victory, allowing child to beat Peter. Mariano Rivera, also came in and closed things in New York.

Cashman and Steinbrenner spent money getting a good reputation on free agents in the offseason, replacing the stars like CC Sabathia, Mark Teixera, and AJ Burnett. Yankees received some criticism for his free spending ways that had not been successful in returning to a title in the last 9 years.

Now skeptics eat their words, as the Yankees mounted their newly acquired talent and unconditional Yankees Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera and Johnny Damon all the way to a 4-2 victory over Phillies Game to capture the World Series in 2009.

Earlier in the year, Rodriguez admitted he had used banned substances during his time with the Texas Rangers, between 2001 and 2003, and last night he paid tribute to the backing he has received from the Yankees.

"When a lot of people were running the other way, my team-mates, coaches and the organisation stood right next to me and now we're standing here as world champions. Thank you," he said.

The Yankees manager, Joe Girardi, added: "This team never stop fighting, and they got up and they got up. It's unbelievable how this came together at spring training, and their willingness to be unselfish and play the game in the right way, and that's why we won."
