Also present at the event was Interior Minister P. Chidambaram, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Javed Akhtar, lyricist, journalist Shekhar Gupta, shooters Abhinav Bindra and tennis star Sania Mirza to name a few.

Singers Shreya Ghosal, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Shankar Mahadevan and violinist Dr. L. Subramaniam also performed at the event. With a modest "Terror has no religion. Our solidarity, courage and determination is a response to the threat of terror," which was hosted by actor and activist Nandita Das and directed by former film Feroz Abbas Khan.

Produced and directed by Wiz craft International Entertainment, the event took place one year after the last day on which the facility in Mumbai last year ended (Nov 29, 2008).

He was supported by organizations such as ONGC, Airtel, SAIL, State Bank of India, Apollo Tires, Mahindra, Friendship University, Reliance Industries, and Reliance adage, Gail, AIR cell and Jet Airways.
