Delhi Higher Judicial Service Exam 2009

On Sunday the 13th December, 2009, The Delhi High Court will hold written examination for direct recruitment to Delhi Higher Judicial Service.

The test will comprise two parts, Part 1 and Part 2 descriptive. The exam contains 750 marks and viva voce contains 250 marks.

The exam shall comprise GK, current affairs, English Language and topics on Constitution of India, Limitation Act code of civil procedure, Criminal Procedure code, IPC, Contract Act, Hindu Marriage act, Partnership act, Transfer of property act, Negotiable Instrument act and Hindu Succession Act

The schedule of salaries for service members: Rs. 16750-20500 (Rs.37400-67000 Grade Pay Rs.8900 in the new salary scale).

The candidate must be able to appear in the examination if he / she is :

  1. a citizen of India,
  2. a person having attained the age of 35, but no less import,
  3. a lawyer from a recognized university,
  4. a person who practiced as an advocate for not less than 7 years.

Application: Application form including DHJSE Registration Form can be obtained personally on payment of Rs.1000 for each of the General category candidates and Rs. 200 for SC / ST / PH candidates in all working days from 14/09/2009 to 14/10/2009 from the date of filing against the Delhi High Court, or by sending your own risk, a self-addressed strength of 38 cm x 25 cm with stamp of Rs. 60 affixed on it along with demand draft of Rs. 1000 for General category candidates and Rs. 200 for SC / ST / PH candidates for the Registrar General, High Court of Delhi, New Delhi, payable at New Delhi in an envelope addressed to Joint Secretary (Vig.), the High Court of Delhi, New Delhi, superimposed with words in bold, DHJS review - 2009 ". The application form along with the instructions set DJSE Registration Form and sent to the candidate (s) by Speed Post / Registered Post only subject to their meeting the requirements, and no consultation / correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
