Endangered Sumatran Rhino dies at Cincinnati Zoo

A 21 years old Endangered Sumatran rhino died on Saturday after appearing less energetic for several weeks, at Cincinnati Zoo.

That had been at the Zoo for 14 years.The Zoo director said that Emi produced three calves at the zoo. Andalas is also a part of it, that born in 2001. The first sumatran rhino bred in captivity since 1889.

The Zoo said that in the month of April they complete physical exam with blood work and they found some changes in her liver. She than after improved in May but even her condition continued to down.

Now the zoo has two sumatran rhinos Emi's mate, Suci and Ipuh that have born in the year 2004 by sumatran rhino.
